The Ohio Nurses Democratic Caucus (ONDC) is organized as a state caucus not as a federal caucus thus is not eligible to endorse any candidate for a federal office.  As part of its education mission, the ONDC will provide information to its members about Democratic candidates for federal office.  Also, consistent with the mission statement, the ONDC encourages individual nurses to work on the campaigns of candidates of their choice.   Individual members who work on campaigns of candidates for federal office will in no way indicate their actions represent the position of the ONDC.

The Ohio  Nurses Democratic Caucus will only endorse in state and local  races in which a Democratic nurse is a candidate.  The nurse candidate must be supportive of the mission of the ONDC and be a member of ONDC.  The  ONDC may choose to endorse a Democratic nurse candidate prior to a primary if the nurse candidate’s opponent is not also a Democratic nurse.  Endorsement means the ONDC allows the candidate to say “Endorsed by the Ohio Nurses Democratic Caucus.” publication of the endorsement on the ONDC web site, and encouragement of members and other nurses to assist in campaign activities. Endorsement does not automatically mean any direct financial support from the ONDC.
